Energy vampires are they real ?

We all know the popular image of the blood-sucking monster but what's the reality behind the myth?

Energy vampires are they real? From an occult perspective there are at least three different types of energy vampires.

There is of course the undead person who has died and didn't pass into the light and now lives off the energy of other living people or beings.

There are also two types of living energy vampires, the astral and the etheric energy vampire.

The astral energy vampire is someone who drains your emotional energy and who exhausts you emotionally.

As if he were to suck the happiness out of you. Astral energy vampires however do not look like vampires in a horror movie or the dementors in Harry Potter, they are simply people who are needy and want to take your emotional energy without giving anything back. They may not be unfriendly but it is stressful or emotionally demanding to be with these people.

Sometimes they do so by wanting your attention and other times they do so by emotionally wearing you down.

They may do so by making you feel unworthy by criticizing everything you do. But not from a mental perspective to give positive constructive feedback, but to make you feel less worthy so they can feel superior to you.

They genuinely believe in order to have more energy they have to take the energy from others on an emotional or astral level.

These types of energy vampires have to be clearly differentiated from people who may be needy or may need your attention, but are also willing to give something in return.

A good example for the second case, which are clearly not energy vampires, are little children.

Your own child may sometimes exhaust you, but they are also willing to give a lot in return.

And every truly loving parent will remember moments when the happiness and love of that child has rewarded them a thousand fold for any efforts.

Children have needs and they may not always be able to fulfill them themselves, because they are still yet small beings.

As young human beings, who do not have all those resources, they are but definitely willing to give back a lot, if you have raised them wisely.

Now we come to the etheric vampires.

Etheric energy vampires are different from emotional energy vampires.

Instead of wearing you down and exhausting you emotionally, you feel almost physically exhausted after spending a certain period of time with them.

They seem to be sucking your health and the energy of your body out of you. They are often people who are themselves not in a very good physical condition or they may have energy leaking because they may have holes in their aura.

For real diagnosis you should always consult an expert, but your first best evaluation of how to recognize an energy vampire in your life is to evaluate how you feel after meeting these people.

If you feel emotionally or physically exhausted after spending time with certain people in your life, there is at least a certain possibility that these people are energy vampires.

Of course there's also the possibility that there's something else wrong in the relationship.

The latter question could be explored by seeking advice from a trained spiritual counselor.

If you feel that the presence of a certain person in your life has a negative influence upon you, the obvious thing to do is to reduce contact whenever possible.

In order to heal from the influence of an energy vampire you have to replenish your astral and etheric energy resources.

How to protect yourself. 

If you want to protect yourself against either type of energy vampire, there is a simple basic technique that you can apply in order to nullify the negative effect of such people.

Just powerfully visualize a bulletproof sheet of glass between you and the person affecting you.

As long as the visualization is strong and powerful you will be protected from many forms of negative influences by those types of energy vampires.
